Brazil Nuts
Great post over at The Fibromyalgia Experiment about reducing refined sugar and the effect it had on the author. (She lost 4 lbs in one month…. enough to encourage her to continue the experiement.)
Because the blog’s author embraces the "u comment I follow" philosophy sweeping the blogging world…. she got a GREAT comment on the value of adding Brazil nuts to a diet from an RN and a Scientist.
According to the comment, Brazil Nuts contain 100 mcg of Selenium each. The poster recommends male patients eat two a day to improve prostate health. Then, she increased her recommendation to women after working in the Burn Unit, where Selenium was prescribed at the same 200 mcg per day to anyone with a burn.
